CAPTURE DEVICE
Computer or phone.
CAMERA
If on a computer we recommend using an external webcam that is at least 1080p. Built in webcams are often not up to par.
MIC
Use an external mic to to capture great sound. Mics like podcast mics are great if you have one, if not a wired headset.
If you only have a bluetooth headset that is fine too but bluetooth knocks down the quality quite a bit. Make sure and charge them!
Make sure you are using headphones to hear from your device, otherwise the audio might bleed back into your mic.
INTERNET ROUTER
Ideally, plug directly into your router with an ethernet cable. If you HAVE to use Wifi, try and get as close as possible to your router. The amount of walls or floors greatly affect your signal. Try and just sit next to it!
Problem with background noise? Try krisp.
Desktop app, not the chrome extension.
Dress presentable.
Avoid branding or any logos.
Avoid white or bright red colors.
Avoid tight patterns or lines.
Wear pants… Just in case.
Limit the empty space above your head.
Sit back from the camera a couple feet.
Get the camera eye-level. (Prop it up on books or a tripod.)
Pay attention to your background. No-one wants to see your dirty laundry or branded goods we will have to blur.

If you don’t have any professional lights, use a window!
Face the window at about 30°
Try not to have any windows behind you, or at least not that the camera can see.

IPHONE or IPAD
Make sure to open with Safari web browser, then enter your name and join the call.
LAPTOP or DESKTOP
Open with Google Chrome (preferred) or firefox web browser, then enter your name and join the call.
Select the correct camera and audio device for the from the browser settings on the right side of the address bar.
RECORD AUDIO LOCALLY
Any audio recording program you feel comfortable with that can record a .wav or .aiff.
Quicktime, Garageband, or even OBS.
Recommended file specs: 48hz 192kbps
SYNC AND MANAGEMENT
